Birthdays at Adventure Science Center Parties are available during business hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Have a scientifically proven fun time at Adventure Science Center for your next birthday celebration. Your young scientists and their friends will have access to all the exciting exhibits, as well as a private party room for two hours and a special presentation by one of our educators. All Party Packages Include:  Use of the party room for two hours General admission to the Science Center One education program and take home activity Party Themes You may choose one of the following educational programs to be presented at a designated time to your party guests. Roaring Dinosaurs (Preschool to 8 Years) Have a roaring good birthday. Jump back in time to discover the exciting ways of the dinosaur. Make a fossil mold to take home. This party is dino-mite! Strange Matter (7 Years and Up) Be amazed when the Strange Matter Scientist makes snow appear and water disappear right before your eyes. Use a secret recipe to mix up a batch of mystery goo and explore why it is called strange matter! Abracadabra! (All Ages) Prepare to be dazzled by the magician scientist and their special birthday child assistant. Brighten up the party with the "magic" bead bracelet that changes color. Blast Off! (All Ages) Have a blast learning how astronauts live in space. Daily activities, like eating and sleeping, are like nothing on Earth! Make a pop-up rocket to take home. Cost: Birthday party fees are based on the number of guests. Parties are limited to a maximum of 20 children and will be charged for the minimum of 10 children even if fewer children attend.  Full payment is required upon booking. Rates:    ASC Member:    Children $15    Adults $5 (two free)    Non-Member:    Children $17    Adults $7 (2 Free) The party room includes four eight-foot rectangle tables and at least 25 chairs. The host may display decorations with the exceptions of piñatas, silly string, confetti and anything taped, stapled or applied to the walls. Party hosts are welcome to bring paper products, cake and non-alcoholic drinks. No other outside food is permitted. Hosts will have the opportunity to purchase snacks/boxed lunches from the on-site Subway. Cancellation Policy: If host cancels a party for any reason, two or more weeks prior to the party date they will receive a refund minus a $25 handling fee. All information subject to change without notice.                                     BIRTHDAY FAQs Can the party guests stay longer or come in earlier than the party time? Yes. You will only be allowed in the party room for the two hours scheduled, but you and your guests are more than welcome to enjoy from open to close on the day of the party. Can I add extra time onto my party? No. The party time is allotted 2 hours and extra time is not available. You will be allowed into the room 15 minutes prior to the party to set up. What do the guests need to do upon entering the Center? Your guests will need to come to the Birthday Party Check-In when they arrive. We will direct them to the party room, after they have been hand stamped (which allows them to enter ASC). What food am I allowed to have at my party? Hosts are welcome to bring cake and drinks. Other outside food, including pizza delivery, is not allowed. Hosts may order from the on-site Subway. All food must stay inside the party room. When is the deposit due? If the party is booked more than a month in advance, we will take a $75 deposit, with the balance being paid 2 weeks prior to the party. If the party is booked less than a month in advance, we will need the entire payment upon the time of booking. We accept cash, credit, and debit. No checks. What clean up do I need to do? We appreciate your leaving the room as you found it with all trash thrown in recepticles. You will need to make sure you take everything you want to keep. What decorating is allowed? We ask that you only decorate the tables. We do not allow piñatas, silly string, or confetti. No items may be placed on the walls. I am not a member. If I sign up later can I still get the member discount? No. You must be a member at the time of booking your party. What happens if I have more guests than allowed? We will do a headcount during the Education program of the party. At that time we will adjust the totals and if you go over the prepaid adults and children, additional charges are due at the front desk.
